Security, confidentiality and compliance
One driver, one vehicle, no hub. Your documents are never sorted through a depot or handed between drivers. The person who collects is the person who delivers, so chain of custody is unbroken from your reception desk to the courtroom door.
Proof of delivery on every job. Signature capture plus a timestamped photo at the point of handover, emailed to you automatically. We can supply a written chain-of-custody record on request for evidential or audit purposes.
GDPR-safe handling. Documents stay sealed and unopened in the vehicle. Driver details, collection and delivery timestamps and recipient names are the only data we retain against a job, and we can delete job data on request once invoicing is complete.
Fully insured in transit. Goods-in-transit insurance covers every delivery. For irreplaceable originals, deeds or high-value bundles, confirm the insured value at booking and we'll note it on the job.
Live updates, not vague windows. You get email updates at collection, en route and delivery, plus a specific delivery time agreed before we set off — useful when a bundle has to be with the court before a listed hearing.
Why law firms stay with us
Predictable invoicing. Most law firms run monthly billed accounts with us — invoice cleanly, paid 30 days end-of-month. No PO chasing.
Drivers we know and trust. Our own Bristol drivers are supported by vetted drivers we use repeatedly elsewhere. The same names show up on your jobs.
Director-level escalation. If something goes wrong, you don't talk to a call centre. New business customers get a director's mobile number. Existing customers already have direct lines.
Money-back guarantee on the first job. New business customers — if your first delivery doesn't exceed expectations, full refund.
Booking
Open a business account at our contact page or call 0117 454 4144. We can set up account billing, named-driver requests, and standing instructions in one call. Talk to James Garbett, our commercial director, for fixed-rate quotes on regular volume.
Legal courier FAQs
Can you deliver confidential or legal documents?+
Yes. Send It Direct handles court bundles, conveyancing packs and confidential files for solicitors and chambers. You get a named driver, live tracking updates, and delivery to a specific time rather than a vague window.
Do you handle court bundle deliveries?+
Yes, daily. We deliver to civil and criminal courts across England, Wales and Scotland. Tell us the deadline and the named courtroom and we'll confirm timing before collection.
Are deliveries GDPR-compliant?+
Yes. Single-driver, single-vehicle, signed-for delivery, photo-on-delivery, no third-party handling. We can supply a chain-of-custody record on request.
Can you handle multi-office runs in one trip?+
Yes — common for firms with offices in Bristol, Cardiff, London or Birmingham. We plan the route and price as one job rather than separate collections.
What if a delivery is missed or late?+
You speak to a real person within minutes. New customers get a director's mobile; existing customers have direct lines into our ops team. We make it right, then write up exactly what happened.
Do you offer fixed-rate pricing for legal volume?+
Yes — we discount for regular volume and can quote a fixed rate per route or per month. Talk to James Garbett, our commercial director.
Is the service insured?+
Yes — full goods-in-transit insurance on every delivery. For high-value originals, we confirm insured value at booking.
Can you collect from Inns of Court or specific chambers?+
Yes — we're regulars at the Inns of Court in London, Queen Square chambers in Bristol, King Street and St John Street chambers in Manchester. Just give us the building name.
